i thought of the the funniest comp present to give. and i was looking at my last yr's comps presents. traditions, traditions. jeanne's right, we losing the discipline. and the guilt's mine too. i know all too well i didnt teach the juniors well. jeanne isnt the bad senior. i am. think of all the car rides and bus rides, periods of reflection. i knew gym was deteriotating. but i just watched as it did. our communication was poor. the gym fiesta was one big mess. i couldnt even speak to jiaqi and amanda and sianglin together.

could i not? maybe if i had really tried i could have found away. maybe if i had made more efforts it wouldnt turn out this way. i dont want to brood. i wont brood. whats past is past, no matter how painful. the most i can do is train the juniors well. and i will.

comps is stressing as ever for everyone. at least there isnt frog jumps and then training the next day and the one after. i look at jiaqi and amanda and i think, wow, they've come really far. they're bdivers. proud and true. im so happy when i see them jump. im so happy when jiaqi's high and nice. im so happy when amanda's flying off to space. happiness with a tinge of sadness that wont go away.

i walk below, you soar above.
fly for me
